Carbon steel is called as mild steel and also known as plain carbon steel. It has 2% of carob and no other alloy. In high range of applications, carbon steel makes a big role in the production, since they are strong and stiff in their physical structure. Special precautions must be taken while welding the mild steel. However, the occurrence of problem while welding is comparatively less. The resistance against the corrosion is very less in carbon steel, so they cannot be used in corrosive environment.
